Christina Noélle
paintress /self-shot-artist/ photographer/ art-performer
Creating a stage through photography and painting Christina Noélle started off her career as a photographer and is especially known for her self-shots.
As a photographer, one can create a setting through perspective, color modification and digital reworking.
Feeling inspired through the many expressions in art, Christina Noélle started to use the paintbrush as a means to modify her photos. With her skills in professional photography, her knowledge of pop art and surrealism, her inspiration from film noire/musicals and her fascination for the everchanging ideals of beauty and aesthetics (from antique to now), she creates a mixture of work between photography and painting which try to grasp and comment on current trends and events. As Noélle´s work consist more of series than stand alone bodies of work, the observer is invited to see her progress of work like a theatrical play with different point of views where she herself is actress, playwright, directress and stage designer.
